DSU English for New Media

Used Easy Movie Maker. I wanted to show how versatile the program can be and that it's not just books and movies and laptops. It's creativity and understanding the old and how it connects with the new. I really like this video, I hope you to do!

Childhood Imagination turned Reality

I remember, as a little kid, I would play with older brother and sister all sorts of games. We would imagine worlds and plots and stories. One story that I remember most was that we could use our television as a large computer. It was very much like Star Trek. We would use an old keyboard and place it on our laps and pretend we were writing important messages to the person on the TV.

Years later, I was in high school, our DVD player stopped working and all we wanted to do was watch Netflix. So, my dad hooked up our Computer to our TV and used a wireless keyboard attached with a touch pad. Now we actually used the television as a large computer monitor. We would go on Facebook. We would Skype my sister, who was away at college. Our imaginations became a reality. It was one of the most incredible things to witness.

So much has changed since I was a child but, through our technology advances, imagination seems to be the only restraint.
